(The Many Facets of Time).

Both editions are in bilingual format: Italian and English
translation on the facing page.

Translating poetry is not only challenging, but for me, personally, it is as enjoyable as writing itself. Those of us who are translators know that, at times, translation is undervalued and misunderstood as an art form.

It is indeed a pleasure, as a translator, to be able to work with an author in the translation of his works. The author and translator collaborate to create original, yet different, works in each of their languages, still portraying the essence of the words as they were meant to be.

In translating Carmine Coppola's poetry from Italian into English, I have tried to keep the translated poems true to the original: pure, direct and complete.
